Fluoride as a Potential Repressor of Glycogen Metabolism in Skeletal Muscle Cell Line CCL136

چکیده
The exposure of humans to fluorine is connected with its presence in the air, food and water. It well known that fluorides even at a low concentration but long time accumulate body lead numerous metabolic disorders. Fluoride recognised as factor modulating energy metabolism cells. This interaction particular importance muscle cells, which are cells high activity related glucose glycogen. In someone suffering from chronic fluoride poisoning, frequent symptoms fatigue not relieved by extra sleep or rest, muscular weakness, spasms, involuntary twitching. aim this study was examine effect concentrations determined blood people environmentally exposed on expression enzymes taking part CCL136 were cultured under standard conditions addition NaF. amount ATP produced using HPLC method, genes responsible for glycogen WB RT PCR methods fluorimetric PAS methods. has been shown 1, 3 10 μM NaF there change state pattern involved synthesis breakdown observed caused decrease content also increased deposition. These changes accompanied gene level enzymatic proteins metabolism: synthase, synthase kinase phosphorylase. results obtained shed new light molecular mechanisms acts an environmental toxin.

Glycogen as a fuel for skeletal muscle.
The utilization of glycogen by skeletal muscle was, at one time, one of the central problems of biochemistry. Attention focused on the most dramatic property of the system: the very rapid glycogenolysis that occurs synchronously with muscle contraction. This phenomenon now has a generally accepted explanation : the increase in Ca2+ that induces muscle contraction also activates phosphorylase ki...
متن کاملEffect of AICAR treatment on glycogen metabolism in skeletal muscle.
AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is proposed to stimulate fat and carbohydrate catabolism to maintain cellular energy status. Recent studies demonstrate that pharmacologic activation of AMPK and mutations in the enzyme are associated with elevated muscle glycogen content in vivo. Our purpose was to determine the mechanism for increased muscle glycogen associated with AMPK activity in vivo. A...

Friesian bulls were penned with an established group of bulls for 6 h. This mixing procedure normally resulted in an intense behavioral interaction between the established herd and each of the newly introduced experimental animals. Muscle needle biopsy samples and blood samples were taken before stress and at intervals during the recovery period. Stressed bulls showed increases over controls in...
متن کاملRabbit Skeletal Muscle Glycogen
Glycogen in its particulate beta-form is localized in the sarcoplasm close to the sarcoplasmic reticulum. Some particles are in close contact with the membranes, on the outer side of the vesicles. The mild technique of differential precipitation-centrifugation has been adapted to the preparation of glycogen from adult skeletal muscle. A preliminary low-speed centrifugation which eliminates the ...
متن کاملRole of resistance training with the approach of blood flow restriction in skeletal muscle cell growth
Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the response of ERK1/2 protein and muscular morphological adaptations to a period of resistance training with local blood flow restriction. Materials and methods: Twenty healthy male Wistar rats without clinically evident disease (5 weeks old, 120±7 g weight) were divided into four equal groups: control, control with limited blood flow...
